Description
The fully illustrated bestiary is on folios 1r-60v. It includes a partial aviary (book of birds) starting with the eagle on folio 25r. The account of the serpents starts on folio 39r.
Written in Marchiennes (Douai) but its illustration is similar to the English school of the 13th century. The artist sometimes got the appearance of the beasts wildly wrong (e.g. folio 10r: Goat; folio 11v: Crocodile; folio 23v: Mole).
