Description
Part of a bestiary, incorrectly attributed to Hugh of Saint Victor. Some text is missing at the beginning and probably at the end. Folio 1r has some incomplete text followed by the chapter on the pard. The bestiary is not included in the bestiary family structure; Kuhry suggests it is Second Family.
The manuscript is paginated continuously (page 1, 2, 3...) not by folio (1r, 1v, 2r...). The bestiary is on page 1 (folio 1r) to page 27 (folio 13r).
Illustrated with 64 crude colored drawings, some cut off by page trimming and binding. At least three images were cut out entirely (pages 3-4, 5-6, 9-10), causing the loss of some text.
There is part of a text on the properties of various trees, possibly incomplete, on page 28 (folio 13v) to page 30 (folio 15v).
