The Capponian codex 200 of the Vatican Library [Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, Cappon.200], a membranous manuscript from the late 14th century, contains on ff. 233y-237r a text with the rubric La proprietà d'alcuno animale. Although it is closely related to already known texts [i.e. the Fiore di virtù], it is unpublished according to the meaning of this codex. I am publishing it as a contribution to the study of Italian bestiaries, following the very short text with some comments and notes.
