There are more than thirty Italian editions of this work, according to Cornagliotti (1975: 31), editor of one of the Catalan translations, the same one published in facsimile by Julián Acebrón (2000); however, it is very likely that there were many more. A few years ago, Professor Curt Witllin informed me that he had discovered several previously unknown manuscripts of this work in the Biblioteca de Catalunya (Italian and Catalan). The purpose of this study is to highlight some very basic points of the Spanish translation, the translation that appears in manuscript 2882 in the Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid. For this purpose, reference will be made to the Italian original from the Biblioteca Vaticana and to the one published in Catalan. - [Author]
