General Attributes
The meauce (or meance) is found in some medieval encyclopedias. It is a sea bird, larger than a duck, grey with a beak partly red and partly a yellow-orange color. They have short legs and grey eyes. They like corpses and especially human corpses, and when they find one they first seek out its eyes (something also said of the crow).
