The Livre des propriétés des choses, an encyclopedia by Bartholomaeus Anglicus, translated by Jean Corbechon.

Chapter 12 (birds) has a four part illustration for the introduction plus small images of most of the birds. Chapter 18 (animals) has a large grid image with multiple animals. The illustrations are not of high quality, and often the background crosshatching dominates, with the animal occupying only a small part of the image. The pigments appear to have undergone color changes over time.
