Description
L'Image du monde, an encyclopedia in French verse by Gossuin de Metz is on folio 1r-35v. The animal descriptions are in the section on the regions and geography of the world; none are illustrated.
The illustrated Bestiaire of Guillaume le Clerc is on folios 36r-58r. The manuscript is in the Palais des Arts collection. The illustrations are full color with some use of gold leaf. The animal chapters are not all in the usual order, and some may be missing. This is the copy of the Bestiaire designated T by Reinsch.
