The chapters on animals are:

  • Birds : folio 17r-28r (chapters 1.23-80)
    • Chapter 38 in the Wright edition (the first Item de psittaco) is here combined with chapter 37 De psittaco).
    • Wright's chapter 40 (Item de pavone) is here combined with De pavone.
  • Fish and marine animals : folio 31v-34v (chapters 2.22-46)
    • Wright's chapter 29 (the second Item de delphinibus) follows chapter 30 (De hippotamo) instead of preceding it.
    • Wright's chapter 33 (the second De lucio, et perca, et brenna) is here combined with the first De lucio, et perca, et brenna.
  • Animals, serpents and insects : folio 40r- (chapters 2.99-165)
    • Wright's chapter 33 (the second De lucio, et perca, et brenna) is here combined with the first De lucio, et perca, et brenna.
    • An additional chapter (De lepore) here follows the Item de mustela chapter. This chapter is not in the Wright edition or in other manuscripts. The normal lepore chapter follows the De panthera chapter (Wright 133) as usual.
    • Wright's chapter 137 (De Acteone) is here combined with the Item de cervis chapter.
