Description
This is a very fine copy of the prose version of L'Image du monde, an encyclopedia by Gossuin de Metz. There are animal descriptions in the Geography section; none are illustrated. There are several very high quality paintings on geographical and astronomical subjects, as well as beautiful paintings showing the teaching of the liberal arts.
