Description
Victor Vitensis, Historia Vandalorum, miscellaneous other texts including a bestiary. The bestiary is on folio 139v to 166v. In addition to the Physiologus text, most chapters have an excerpt from the Etymologiae of Isidore of Seville, preceded by the rubric "Ethimologia" or "Ethimologia Ysidori".
"De tribus naturis Leonis... Bestiarium seu animalium regis; etenim Jacob benedicens filium suum Judam ait Catalus Iconis Judas filias meus, quis suscitabit cum: Fisiologus dicit..."
Miniatures illustrate most chapters; marginal drawings were added c. 1300. The illustrations are simple uncolored ink drawings. There are faint notes in the margins next to some drawings that indicate to the artist what should be drawn in the space provided.
