Snails live on land and in water and carry their home on their back

General Attributes

The snail is found in some medieval encyclopedias. Snails are fish (or worms) that live on land and in the water. They have no eyes, but use their two horns to navigate to wherever they want to go. The snail is sometimes called testudo vermis, "tortoise worm", because it carries its house (shell) around with it on its back.
